Domingo Alonso Group, which has been the car market leader in Canarias for more than 10 consecutive years, working with Volkswagen, and which has also been present in more than 20 countries from Africa and Latin America; purchased Tinvesa’s old facilities from the bankruptcy administration which was carrying out the company’s liquidation.
The facilities purchased by Domingo Alonso Group, were built by Tinvesa in 1980. Their surface is 5,700m2 and they are located in Los Majuelos, 50 meters away from the Pabellón Santiago Martín, strategic area where most of the brands of the automobile sector are located. This exemplary infrastructure was home to a french brand car dealership, one of the best operators in the archipelago.
After the intense and useful labor of the Architectural Firm Alonso Sosa, the application for the necessary licenses and the selection of the contracting, the complete remodelling and an update of the facilities that will host Volkswagen, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Skoda, Audi and Ducati, along with the garages and the spare parts warehouse, have begun. All these will involve a total investment of 7 Million Euros. The project will start during the present year and will be finished by the summer of 2016.
This investment was totally necessary, due to the trust vested in Volkswagen Group by Domingo Alonso Group, as well as to the need to keep offering the bes service to its customers, according to the words of its Managing Director, Marcelo Pérez.
The introduction of the best and most advanced technologies, the innovative design and the distribution of the expositions, as well as the improved managing systems and the customer service in sales and after sales, will all help establishing the new facilities from Domingo Alonso Group in Tenerife, as the best and most cutting edge ones in the automobile sector in all Canary Islands.

The company continues its contribution to the worldwide job creation, with 800 new employment opportunities. Likewise, the professional development from the current employers will also be encouraged, since they will assume greater responsibilities.
The tough economic recession experienced in Spain during the last years has been precisely the spur for Domingo Alonso Group to make important investments in infrastructure and software tools. Such investments will rationalize business and enable the company to offer the customers a dynamic, modern service; taking advantage of the synergies provided by the fact that the company has not only created subsidiaries dedicated to the creation of software and technological applications, but also to the logistics sector.
